Four-member rock band tricot announced that they will be releasing a brand new track, “暴露” (“Bakuro”) on May 5th across all digital music streaming platforms. This will be the latest release done by the band since the album 10 back in October and will be their first release of 2021. Marking the beginning of the summer season, the band tried to mix it up by having it be a tricot-like summer tune. Vocalist and guitarist Ikkyu Nakajima was approached to write the lyrics with a unique world view. In addition, tricot's new artist photo released with the announcement of the new song is a refreshing one that seems to be early summer showing a smile in beautiful summer-like weather.

YUKI Teases A Whole New World in Latest Music Video!

To hype up the release of her upcoming album, vocalist YUKI released the music video for her track “My lovely ghost” on her official YouTube channel. A song off the artist’s album Terminal, which was released on April 28, “My lovely ghost” was originally released with “Baby, it’s you” back in March as a double A-side. In the music video teaser, YUKI is dressed in a gorgeous costume, placing herself in a fantastic world and looking through the door, inviting fans in.

The album was released with thirteen tracks and two editions: a CD-only standard edition and a limited edition which comes with a bonus DVD. The DVD at the very least includes the music video for “Baby, it’s you”.

SZWARC Gets Risky By Adding New Member!

Idol rap collective SZWARC added a new member, Risky Heartbreak, to the group, officially making them a three-member collective unit. On top of adding a new member, the two other members have changed their names as well. Satie is now Satie Exchange and Yuri is now Selected Yuri. We at OTY welcome Risky Heartbreak and look forward to seeing future releases for SZWARC! In the meantime check out SZWARC’s debut music video for “Emotion” below!

Gran☆Ciel Redebuts With Brand New Message!

Six-member redebuting idol group Gran☆Ciel announced that they will be releasing their first single, “Message!”, May 25. The track was produced by Keiichi Hashimoto of @JAM and Arc Jewel.

Gran☆Ciel was reborn from the ashes of the group Jewel☆Ciel back in March. "Message!" is the first single out of this new system and was produced with the theme of "start, pop, renewal, restart". The track was composed by Hironobu Hirata, the sound director of Gran ☆ Ciel, Moso Calibration and Dempagumi.inc. The B-side song “Real Face" was written by Takayuki Tonegawa. 

The single will also drop with three editions, all of which just CD-only and lovingly called Type A, Type B, and Type C. The coupling third tracks for each edition will all differ and feature updated versions of popular Jewel ☆ Ciel tunes.

NELN To Dawn Into Debut Album!

Four-member pop idol group NELN announced that they will release their first album, dawn, July 13! NELN made their debut last year with the single “Wondervogel”. Since NELN’s debut they immediately implemented a 12-month continuous release project. The announcement of this release news came at their first anniversary debut held at Shibuya Stream Hall in Tokyo on April 18. The title, dawn, is a representation of beginning the second chapter of activities in their career. dawn will feature a total of 13 tracks which includes those from their 12-month continuous release project. Special events have been planned for this release, so stay tuned. Currently there are no pre-order links up but check out NELN’s latest music video for “dawn” below!
