Latest Lyric Video Reconnects KIRINJI With Fans!

“Saikai” Digital Jacket Cover

To celebrate the release of their latest single “再会” (“Saikai”) across all music streaming platforms, popular band KIRINJI released the lyric video for the track on their YouTube channel. KIRINJI graduated from the band system at the end of 2020 and became a "variable and loosely connected music group" led by Takaki Horigome in 2021.

“Saikai”, the first release of the new system, is a song with a bright and danceable track which fans can’t help but jive to the beat to. The lyrics illustrate the wish to reunite with important people during these difficult times, and with that blend it brings out the best feature of KIRINJI’s sound in recent years. This sound creation exquisitely blends a certain live instrument for an out of this world sound that must be listened to. Continuing from the band era, Manabu Chigasaki participated in the bass performance, and the mix was handled by Masahito Komori; this was Komori’s first time participating in KIRINJI's work.

The lyric video was directed by Eisuke Shirota, who also worked on the videos for "AIの逃避行 feat. Charisma.com” (“AI No Tohiko feat. Charisma.com”) and "時間がない" (“Jikan ga Nai”). It features a basic room with various objects, like a laptop and desk, featured throughout. The lyrics flow in a dancing typeface while the scenery and lights of the movie are projected. You can also check the English translation of the lyrics by selecting the subtitles option.

FAKY Releases New Music Video for “HappyEverAfter” Inspired by ABEMA’s Reality Show Koi to Ookami Niwa Damasarenai!

FAKY has released a music video for their single, “Happy Ever After”. The single was originally released on April 26 of this year and was inspired from the original reality show Koi to Okami Niwa Damasarenai (Don’t Be Fooled by the Wolf) on the Japanese internet streaming video serviceABEMA.

Koi to Ookami Niwa Damasarenai is a popular romantic reality show on ABEMA that has just wrapped up its ninth season. In the show, ten young boys and girls are seeking a partner among them but one of them is playing a wolf, a fake member who is not going to love anybody while still trying to make the others fall in love with them. Contestants on this reality show include Kazuto Mokudai, a member of Genin Wa Jibun Ni Aru (Genjibu), Keito Tsuna (actor and model), Naenano (Youtube influencer),  and FAKY’s youngest member, Taki. “Happy Ever After” was written by Lil’ Fang to reflect Taki’s feelings from her experiences on the show.

Member Taki commented “‘Happy Ever After’ is about finding happiness after a heartbreak. When I shared my feelings with Lil' Fang about what happened to me, I wanted to make sure that she knew that even if I got hurt and even if I went through a hard time, the only thing I want for that person is happiness. I didn’t get my "happy ever after" but I know the others did and that fills my heart. This song is not a sad song, It’s just a song about moving forward.”

Since the start of the year, FAKY has been making many headlines including being featured on ET Canada, NYLON, an interview with Kevan Kenney (MTV and Radio.com), and Billboard Japan to name a few. Their previous single, “The Light” hit over a million views only two weeks after its release. At the same time, their music video for “little more” also crossed over the million view mark while the video for “half-moon” hit over 3 million.  FAKY plans to continue to take 2021 by storm with all of their current and upcoming activities.
