B.O.L.T Bring a Smile to Fans with Latest Music Video!

To hype the release of their upcoming single “Smile Flower”, four-member female idol group B.O.L.T released the music video for the track on their official YouTube channel. Releasing on May 19, this will be the latest release done by the girls since “Don’t Blink” back in December of last year and will be their second major label single. SpecialThanks guitarist and vocalist Misaki wrote and composed the track. She had also commented about the collaboration saying ”In a world where everyone feels that their smiles are lacking in the mask society, it's important that they can see smiles more than everyone thinks. During the last ‘YEAH!’ in the song, I would be very happy if you could jump with the best smile!”

The music video was directed by videographer Takaya Ohata and has a tasteful taste shot with a vintage home-use Hi8 video camera. B.O.L.T is dressed in a dress that combines white floral fabric, blue denim fabric, and sings in the flower garden. Each member took a picture with a flower that overlaps with themselves, such as Nanoha Aoyama standing in a flower field named after the name, and Shirahama Aya holding a bouquet of stocks with the flower word "simple". In addition, illustrations drawn by members and images shot with a camera are also used throughout the music video.

The single will drop with two editions: a CD-only standard edition and a limited edition which will come with a bonus Blu-ray. The Blu-ray is set to include the music video for “Smile Flower” along with a behind the scenes making-of.

NEMOPHILA Expand First Single OIRAN into Full Blown Album Exclusively Outside of Japan!

Five-member rock band NEMOPHILA welcome you to their unpredictable world of bone-breaking riffs and beaming positivity by expanding their first single into a full album outside of Japan. The band made the announcement live on stage today at NAON NO YAON festival in Tokyo, Japan's biggest festival dedicated to female artists.

NEMOPHILA are no strangers to the festival circuit. They made their debut opening for heavy metal legends LOUDNESS and HAMMERFALL on both days of METAL WEEKEND 2019 in Tokyo. The event introduced them as a "Super Metal Band", not least because they have racked up several decades of experience between them. Ten of those are from guitarist SAKI alone, who recently celebrated her tenth anniversary as a recording artist by launching her first solo album. She is also part of new unit AMAHIRU with bassist Frédéric Leclercq (ex-DragonForce), as well as Mary's Blood, who also performed at NAON NO YAON today.

This exclusive overseas release from our friends at JPU Records is entitled OIRAN – EXTENDED EDITION, and will include their debut single “OIRAN”, all of its B-sides, as well as the band’s entire catalogue to date. It’s the first time the tracks have been available together as a single release. It will also include an exclusive English version of latest track “DISSENSION”.

SAKI comments, "I'm really glad to release our CD from JPU Records! Just for this amazing opportunity, we recorded the English version of “DISSENSION” – I hope you guys understand our English…!"

Guitarist Hazuki adds, "this album is filled with our history so far. I really hope you enjoy it!"

Since opening their YouTube channel in 2020, NEMOPHILA have achieved over 10 million views across their original songs and covers. Their cover of “The Trooper” by Iron Maiden has been watched more than 1.5 million times, while their cosplay cover of KISS' “Detroit Rock City” and Maximum the Hormone's Zetsubo Billy from anime Death Note have also passed a million views together.

OIRAN – EXTENDED EDITION is out on CD and digitally from 25 June via JPU Records. be sure to check out their latest music video “DISSENSION, along with the pre-order OIRAN – EXTENDED EDITION in the link below!

hiroko Makes Long Anticipated Return!

Vocalist hiroko (formerly of the duo mihimaru GT) announced that she will be returning to the music industry once again via an Instagram post. After stepping away from the spotlight back in 2013, she looks to shake up the industry once again with her unique style. Having posted an all white photo, she had first apologized to fans about the lack of communication, even making a joke about becoming lazy during the two and half years that she hasn’t posted. She had also committed about the future, "I would like to be able to release music at my own pace from now on. Maybe at a pace of once every four years, I can release 13 songs by the age of 90 !! ... (This is a lie) I'll do my best) ”. She finally sent a message saying,“ I'm having a lot of difficult days as of late, but please keep your health first and stay healthy. Let's meet again with a smile! ”.

We at OTY look forward to the future work bought by hiroko!
