WARPs UP Brings a New Pleasure with Latest Music Video!

Japanese-Chinese boys’ collective WARPs UP released their new single “Pleasure” across all digital music streaming platforms today, along with new mini-album Prep.20/21SS -Chapter RLSM-. Up until now, these releases had been limited to China only, so this marks the first opportunity for fans to hear these long-awaited songs on music services around the world.

The single “Pleasure” is the opening theme song to the popular TV anime series Fruits Basket, whose latest season The Final began broadcasting in April. This is the first ballad from WARPs UP, and carries the inspiring message that no matter our fate or circumstances, we all have the power to shape our own future. 

The “Pleasure -Anime ver.- music video was released recently, featuring scenes from the opening of the movie, but today another music video that includes the group members has also been released. While the song itself is a ballad, the video includes an unmissable dance routine that showcases WARPs UP’s trademark skills.

“Pleasure” is also one of five songs on the new mini-album Prep.20/21SS -Chapter RLSM-. The release also includes “SUPERNOVA”, which recently topped the weekly J-pop chart on China’s major streaming service NetEase Cloud Music. The collection preserves this important formative period in the group’s history.

WANIMA Give a Taste of the Sauce with Teaser of Upcoming Single!

To hype up the release of their upcoming single, “Chilly Chili Sauce”, three member rock brand WANIMA dropped a trailer for the single on their YouTube channel. This was the latest release done by the band since their mini-album Cheddar Flavor back in September and will be their sixth single overall. The sound source of the title song is used in the released video, and the members dressed as clerks of a fictitious pizza shop "Cheddar Flavor" appears. The single will drop with two editions: a CD-only standard edition and a limited edition that will come with a bonus DVD. The DVD will come with footage from their non-audience live "COMINATCHA !! TOUR FINAL at ZOZO MARINE STADIUM" that took place in September of last year. In addition, the trailer also includes a digest of the live as well for those who wants a sneak peak of the amazing work they did.

Miliyah Kato Teams Up with the Yoshida Brother For Out of this World Collaboration!

”Kono Yume ga Sameru Made feat. Yoshida Brothers” Digital Jacket Cover

Vocalist Miliyah Kato announced that she will be releasing brand new track, “この夢が醒めるまで” (“Kono Yume ga Sameru Made”) across all digital music streaming platforms. This will be the latest release done by the vocalist since “宿命” (“Shukumei”) back in March and will be her second release of 2021. Teaming up with the phenomenal Shamisen playing duo Yoshida Brothers, the track is set to be the ending theme song for the Shamisen anime Mashiro no Oto that began airing during the Spring 2021 season.

While the strange mix of genre might be off setting to some, Kato’s rap vocals and the rhythmic Tsugaru shamisen are impressive and are bound to turn heads to anyone listening. A physical release of the track will also drop on June 16th and will have three tracks total. It will drop with a CD-only standard edition and will include the previously released song “Wing” and “Shukumei”.

First Generation hololive Member Announces Anniversary Concert!

Popular V-Tuber group hololive announced that they they will be holding a live anniversary event for their first generation member at Tokyo’s EX THEATHER ROPPONGI on May 28. Lovingly called hololive 1st Generation 3rd Anniversary LIVE『from 1st』 announced during their third anniversary live stream, members Yozora Mel, Aki Rosenthal, Akai, Shirakami Fubuki, and Natsuiro Matsuri, who are the first generation of Hololive will appear in this performance. Tickets for streaming viewing are on sale via SPWN, and ticket purchasers can watch the live archived footage until June 28th.

Yume Takeuchi Ventures into the Music Industry with Debut Mini-Album!

Actress Yume Takeuchi announced that she will be making her music debut with the release of her mini-album Reve on May 5th as a Village Vanguard exclusive. For those who are new to Takeuchi, she is an actress and talent who is a regular on NHK E-tele "Otosan to issho" and will make her dream come true with this release. Famous producer Satori Shiraishi, who produces and provides music for many artists, will take charge for the debuting artist and promises to be one that will never be forgotten. To hype the announcement Takeuchi had also released a cover of Tomoyo Harada’s hit track “時をかける少女” (“Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo”) across all digital streaming platforms.

Takeuchi commented on the debut saying “I think this album will be my starting point as for the my new path in the music industry, and I think that what we have cultivated various experiences that is expressed in each song. Not only will you enjoy listening to the songs, but I hope you will leave my precious first mini-album in your heart.”
