Haruka Kudo Brings it to a New Level with Upcoming Single!

Voice actress-turned-vocalist Haruka Kudo announced that she will be releasing a brand new single July 7. Currently untitled, this will be the latest release done by the vocalist since the mini-album POWER CHORD back in October of last year and will be her first single in her solo career.

Not much information was made about the release at the time of reporting, but it will release with three songs total. It will also drop with two editions: a CD-only standard edition and a limited edition that will come with a bonus Blu-ray. The Blu-ray contains footage of her one-woman live that was held at KT Zepp Yokohama in Kanagawa in March along with the music video of the new song and the making-of featurette. To sweeten the deal even more for fans, the limited edition will also include a 100-page photo book.

Hololive VTubers Star in Virtual Concert This Weekend on Quest, Smartphones, Online!

Mio Ookami

Hololive VTubers Fubuki Shirakami and Mio Ookami, with over 2 million combined YouTube subscribers, will headline a virtual concert in VARK, a virtual concert platform, and on the web via the streaming platform Niconico on Saturday, April 24. The show kicks off at 9 AM CET / 4 AM EDT / 5:00 PM JST via the VARK app on Oculus Quest and Oculus Quest 2, as well as Android and iOS smartphones. 

For those unable to attend the live concert, but still want to experience it for themselves, the Niconico platform allows for video on demand viewings for up to two week after the premiere.

Cinderella Switch vol.5 is brought to viewers by Hololive, a Japanese VTuber agency with millions of global fans, and VARK, Inc., the global leader in the VR concert industry.

Tickets for Cinderella Switch vol.5 featuring Fubuki Shirakami and Mio Ookami are on sale now. 

VR and mobile tickets are available in-app on Oculus Quest, Oculus Quest 2, and Android and iOS smartphones for approximately $43 / €35 (448 VARK coins) for one concert part, or approximately $80 / €66 (847 VARK coins) when buying both parts bundled together. Web tickets are available now via Niconico for approximately $33 / €28 for one part, or $62 / €51 when bundling.

Sweet Alley Comes Back to Life with Upcoming Mini-Album!

Seven-member up-and-coming female idol group Sweet Alley announced that they will be releasing a brand new mini-album 人生はワンチャンだ (Jinsei ha Wan-chanda) on June 22nd with record label Victoria Beats. Debuting in the annual idol event TOKYO IDOL FESTIVAL 2019, the mini-album was originally set to released back in June of last year, but due to the ongoing pandemic it had to be pushed back to this year. Not much is known about the debut mini-album except that it will contain a total of nine songs, including the title track “Life is Wanchan," which was the theme song for the group’s audition. It will also be available in a Type A or a Type B edition, both of which are currently CD-only.

odol Brings their Unique Groove with Upcoming Album!

Five-member rock band odol announced that they will be releasing a brand new album, はためき (Hatameki) on June 9th. This will be the latest album release done by the band since 往来するもの (Orai Suru Mono) back in October of 2018 and will be their fourth album overall. Hatameki is set to contain a total of nine songs, including the original song “Chisaina Koto wo Hitotsu” that was previously only available from the radio distribution service radiko, and “Ayumu Hibini” used in food company Morinaga Milk Industry's corporate movie. The teaser video of the album is available on YouTube containing a part of the new song “Mirai”.

TENDRE Brings a Brand New PIECE with Latest Major Debut Single!

Vocalist TENDRE announced that he will be signing with Universal Music Japan’s sub-label EMI Records and dropped his major label debut single, “PIECE” across all digital music streaming platforms. This will be his latest release since the album LIFE LESS LONELY back in September of last year and will also be his first release in 2021. “PIECE" is a song that depicts "beginning" and a "decision". TENDRE commented on this work, "It's a track that expresses how I want to continue to connect with everyone, and to do so by using various ‘pieces’ of feelings." Margt, the creative unit who has worked on his work, was in charge of the jacket cover of "PIECE". Along with the major debut single, TENDRE had also dropped the music video for the song as well on his official YouTube channel. Toko Miura, who provided the song "Ochitsuke" by TENDRE last year, will appear in the music video, it was also directed by videographer Yohei Haga.
