SOMETIME'S Slows it Down with Upcoming Release!

Duo SOMETIME’S announced that they will be releasing a brand new EP titled Slow Dance May 26th. This will be the latest release done by the group since TOBARI back in October of last year and will be their second EP overall. Slow Dance is the first release by SOMETIME'S for the record label IRORI Records. This work also includes a total of six songs, including "Slow Dance", the ballad number "HORIZON" released in February, and the live concert played classics "Raindrop" and "Cinderella Story”. The EP will drop in a CD-only standard edition.

Task have Fun Brings Fans to a New Land with Upcoming Single!

Three-member idol group Task have Fun announced that they will be releasing a brand new single, “BABYLONIA” on May 18. This will be the latest release done by the group since their single “Hoshi Furu WISH” back in February of last year, and will be their thirteenth single overall. The title song "BABYLONIA" is set to be an aggressive rock tune composed by GUCCHO, who has written many songs for Task have Fun, including the track "3WD". In addition, the tune "Tsunagu Nara Kokoro" was written and composed by Takahiro Yasuda, who is the vocalist of the alternative rock band Ao and also has provided many songs to Eir Aoi, as well as Task have Fun’s previous songs "Backlight" and "Hoshi Furu WISH”. The single will release with three tracks total and will come in two editions: a CD-only standard edition, and a limited edition that will come with a bonus DVD. The DVD will feature a special movie to celebrate the group’s fifth year anniversary.

[Alexandros] Bring the Light with Upcoming Single!

Four-member rock band [Alexandros] announced that they will be releasing a brand new single, “閃光” (“Senkou”) on May 5. This will be the latest release done by the band since their best album Where’s My History back in March, and will be their first single release in 2021. “Senkou" is set to be the theme song of the animated movie Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway of Senkou, releasing on May 7. “Senkou” is promised to be a rock number with an uplifting feeling that colors the magnificent story of the Gundam franchise. The single will drop with four editions: a  CD-only standard edition and three limited editions. One which will include an original Gundam gunpla model, while the other two include a DVD or Blu-ray. The DVD / Blu-ray contains live footage shot at Shimokitazawa SHELTER in Tokyo.

One Eye Closed Take a Glimpse at a Dystopian Future in All of Us with Latest Release!

Brand new rock band One Eye Closed take a sarcastic look at Japan's work ethics in new single “All Of Us”. Available across all digital streaming platforms the track sees the Tokyo quartet flip expectations once again, changing things up from the fresh nu-metal energy of “N.C.H.”, the winter ballad vibes of “With How I Feel” or the melodic-rock groove of “Monster”.

The band's bilingual vocalist REI comments, "We wanted to push ourselves as musicians with this track. “All Of Us” keeps our rock roots, but blends that core with funk, jazz and pop more so than any of our releases so far. Despite this being One Eye Closed's closest thing to a pop song, the lyrics are anything but."

“All Of Us” music video sees the band's members REI, none, Yasu and Kay in a dystopian future where everyone dresses the same, acts the same and are blind to the world around them. "It's an exaggeration of modern life," explains REI. "Here in Japan there's a real pressure to fit in with society. We thought there were a lot of avenues to explore around this concept, whether you're a musician with the expectations to make pop songs and not be true to who you are, or if you're a salary-man living with a boring, repetitive and enforced routine. We shouldn't be afraid to push back. That's the message of this song and its video."

Chihiro Onitsuka is Living With A Ghost In New Blu-ray and DVD!

Singer-songwriter Chihiro Onitsuka has announced her latest blu-ray, Living With A Ghost, that will release on May 26! Living With A Ghost is the Blu-ray performance from Chihiro’s “UNHESITATE” Tour at Tokyo Bunkamura Orchard Hall that was held on November 27 to commemorate her 20th Anniversary debut in the music industry! Chihiro performs many songs for the first time live with a combination of old and new that represents her career, such as: ”Gekkou”, “Ryuseigun”, “Watashi to Waltz wo”, “Dining Chicken”, and “End of the World”. Living With A Ghost is one of Chihiro’s many new releases as it follows up her “SLOW DANCE” single that released on February 24, and her HYSTERIA album that released in November 2020!

Living With A Ghost will release in two editions: a Blu-ray and a DVD. Both editions will include the full set list of 17 tracks, and if you order early enough, an A-4 sized clear folder will be given out as an external bonus.
