Hitorie Take Three Minutes And Twenty-Nine Seconds In New Single

Three-member rock band Hitorie announced that they will be dropping a brand-new single titled “3 Pun 29 Byo” which is set to release on June 2nd. The new single is being used as the opening for the fantasy anime 86 which is part of the spring line-up for 2021. This is the first song the group has put out since their lead vocalist and guitarist Wowaka passed away in 2019. “3 Pun 29 Byo” is being released in two editions total: a special edition and a limited edition that will both come with a Blu-ray. Pre-orders are up and posted below along with an extended trailer for 86 which features the song “3 Pun 29 Byo”.

DAICHI Announces that he will Withdraw from DA PUMP!

Unfortunate news here from Ongaku to You, DAICHI of the seven member group DA PUMP will be withdrawing from the team effective April 30. DAICHI said that he offered to leave the group because it became difficult to continue his performing due to the worsening of his case of hernias, which has been a chronic disease for many years for him. As a result of repeated discussions had happened within the group, it was decided that he would end his activities as a member of DA PUMP and the entertainment industry as a whole.

DAICHI had commented on the difficult matter on the official website, "I have been treated many times over the years, but I have been worried every year that I would not able to perform at 100%. For me, DA PUMP is my starting point and my admiration. Thank you to all the fans who always support me and all the people who give me the chance to dance on stage." DAICHI will continue to participate in the release event and promotion of DA PUMP's latest single "Dream on the street" with programs recorded by April 30 being broadcast by mid-May.

MORISAKI WIN Bring New Flight with Upcoming Release!

Vocalist MORISAKI WIN announced that he will be releasing a brand new album entitled Flight on May 26. This will be the latest release done by the artist since his digital single “Love in the Stars -星が巡り逢う夜に-“ (-Hoshi ga Meguri Au Yoru ni-) back in March, and will be his first album overall. This album includes the major debut song "Parade -PARADE", and will include ten tracks total songs. It will also drop with two editions: a CD-only standard edition, and a limited edition that comes with a DVD. The DVD will contain footage of five songs from his concert that took place last August.

Daichi Miura Heads Backwards In New Single!

Singer-songwriter, Daichi Miura has announced he will be releasing a new single titled “Backwards” on April 21! This will be the latest release since Daichi’s latest single “I’m Here” dropped in January of this year. "Backwards” will contain a total of four tracks and all are said to be dance numbers, so be prepared to get your dancing shoes out! The lead track “Backwards” is currently being used as the campaign song for the “adidas 2021 S/S collection”, in which Daichi also acts as an image character for adidas along with Alice Hirose.

“Backwards” will be released in three edtions: a CD with bonus Blu-ray, a CD with bonus DVD, and a CD-only standard edition. The Blu-ray and DVD editions will include the music video for “Backwards” and “the choreo video for About Us”. If you order early enough through CDJapan, each edition includes bonus stickers! Tsubaki Factory Take Their Second Step In New Album!

Eight-member girl-idol group Tsubaki Factory have announced a brand new album titled 2nd STEP which is set to be released on May 26th. This is the second album the group has released and it’s been two and half years since the release of their first album Tsubaki Factory. This new album will compile all the singles released since they dropped “Sankaime no Date Shinwa / Fuwari, Koi Dokei” which was their fifth single. A total of fifteen tracks will be on 2nd STEP and there will be six brand-new songs made for the album. 2nd STEP will be released in three editions total: a standard CD-only edition, a limited edition type A that will come with a bonus Blu-ray, and a limited edition type B that will come with a bonus DVD.
