Daichi Yamamoto Serves His Blueberries With Latest Music Video!

Rapper Daichi Yamamoto released the music video for his track “Blueberry” on his YouTube channel. The track was released on his brand new EP Elephant In My Room which dropped across all digital music streaming platforms the week of August 10. It shows off just how much Yamamoto is a master of his craft, spitting out rhymes that are unmatched. Directed by Yuki Hori, the video takes a more vintage feel as it was filmed on a 16mm film camera with a vintagely grainy quality interspersed throughout the video.

AIMYON Turns it up with Latest Music Video!

Popular artist AIMYON has released a music video to celebrate her latest album, Oishii Pasta ga Aru to Kiite, which dropped on September 9. The new music video is for her song “Mashimaro” and is reminiscent of music videos out of the 80s. The music video was done in a pop-up storybook style and was directed by Ran Hayashi. 

As previously reported, Oishii Pasta ga Aru to Kiite released two editions total: a standard CD-only edition and a limited edition that comes with a bonus DVD. COLOR CREATION Announces Hiatus!

Five-member boy vocal unit COLOR CREATION announced that they will be going on hiatus at the end of October. The reason for the hiatus was explained on their official site. With live concerts being restricted due to the ongoing pandemic, each member was given more time to think about their own future. This, coupled with the illness of member KAZ, gave the finality of the decision. KAZ commented, “…we decided to go on hiatus from COLOR CREATION and will focus on individual projects. We would like to thank the fans for their continued support and encouragement when each member begins his own path.” There are also comments from the five members on their official website. The announcement comes shortly before the release of the group’s upcoming second album, SECOND PALETTE, that will drop on September 23.

ARASHI is at Fans Beck and Call with Upcoming Release!

Popular five-member boy group ARASHI announced that they will be releasing a brand-new single, “Whenever You Call,” on September 18 across all digital music streaming platforms. This will be the latest release by the group since “Kaito” back in July and will be a part of the ongoing barrage that the group has been taking towards the digital music scene. Written and produced by artist Bruno Mars, the track will be an upbeat medium ballad with full-length English lyrics. 

Mars commented that he wrote the tune for ARASHI after listening to their songs and watching several of their live performances. The group had announced that it was an honor to work with Mars, adding that “he directed each of our vocals and the song has a great feel, so we hope that the fans look forward to it!”

Mika Nakashima Shows She's No Joker With Upcoming Album!

Popular vocalist Mika Nakashima announced that she will be releasing a brand new album, JOKER, October 7. To honor her twentieth year in the Japanese music industry, this will be her latest album release since TOUGH back in 2017 and will be her ninth album overall. The album will drop with fourteen tracks and include hit song “KISS OF DEATH” and “A or B” along with Nakashima’s self-composed rock number “Justice”. The album will drop with two editions including a CD-only standard edition and a CD+DVD limited edition. The DVD will include not only music videos of several tracks from the album but also a special acoustic studio live.

Nakashima commented about the album, stating, “It’s been about three and a half years since I released an original album, but thanks to that I got various amounts of different tunes and emotions that I want to tell. I feel that this has become a piece that I will never get tired of listening to as I look forward to sharing this with the fans. It's my 20th anniversary in the industry but I don't have many chances to meet fans directly due to the pandemic right now, but I'm looking forward to seeing them again, live with this album.”
