Hinatazaka46 Announces Their First Album

Mega idol group, Hinatazaka46 revealed that they will be releasing their very first album on September 23rd. Announced at the live distribution event that was held on July 31st the title of the album will be simply called Hinatazaka. One of the new songs that will be on the upcoming album is already being used in commercials for Lawson’s convenient store chain. 

The new album is being released in three editions total, a standard CD-only edition, and two limited editions that come with a bonus Blu-ray. Other bonuses will be later revealed for the type A limited edition and type B limited edition. Pre-orders are already up for the upcoming release and posted below along with their latest single “Sonna Kotonaiyo” for everyone to enjoy.

FAKY Releases Dreamy Music Video for New Single!

Five-member dance/vocal group FAKY has released the music video for their latest song "Darling (Prod. GeG)". The mellow love song was created in collaboration with producer "GeG" from "HENTAI SHINSHI CLUB", who is at the forefront of the Japanese reggae and hip-hop scenes.

The music video is an emotional work that surrounds the members in an exotic sunset to showcase their sensual choreography and create a dreamy and elegant vibe. Beginning with "the story that begins beyond the door", close-ups of the members express the emotional lyrics.

FAKY has established their reputation for powerful performances, and their "Girls Power" dance single trilogy has achieved more than 7 million views on YouTube. The combination of reggae and hip-hop, which is rare for Japanese girl groups, is the latest move by FAKY to expand their status as the "new wave in the J-Pop world".

Each member commented on the new stance that FAKY has taken with the song. 

Taki: “This song reflects a whole new FAKY. Most of our songs are very powerful, but this is the only song of FAKY that shows that we get hurt, too, and that we're still human and go through emotional moments like everyone else."

Akina: "This song is the first time we've had to dig down deep and show our raw side and I hope this song will resonate with anyone who's felt the emptiness caused by a broken heart."

Lil' Fang: "Throughout this whole MV, both the inside and outside of me are projected to the world under the theme of a sunset. All of us express our feelings of frustration in our own way, so I would be happy if that feeling can be conveyed through this song."

Hina: "For this MV, I would like the fans to pay attention to the very beautiful and emotional setting and the members' expressions, such as the lights of the scene where the members are in the room and the sunset reflected on the LED during the dance scene”

Mikako: "I think this MV will give you a glimpse of the new FAKY, the real parts of each member, and the bare parts that are exposed honestly.”

YOSHIKI stars in Attack on Titan-Themed Commercial as Super-Powered Drum Titan

Industry icon YOSHIKI transforms into a super-powered titan in the new "ATTACK ON YOSHIKI" commercial campaign for Asahi's Wonda Coffee which begins September 3.

Based on the worldwide hit anime series Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin), the 3D CG animated character was modeled after YOSHIKI, and the thundering drum sounds were recorded live by the X JAPAN drummer himself.

They artist has also created themes for high-profile anime projects such as X, X2 Double X, Buddha: The Great Departure, and Saint Seiya: Legend of Sanctuary. He served as the inspiration for the Blood Red Dragon comic series by the legendary Marvel Comics creator Stan Lee.

For new fans, YOSHIKI is a composer, classically-trained pianist, rock drummer, and the leader of the rock group X Japan, who has sold over 50 million records. He is also the composer of the Attack on Titan theme song “Red Swan” which debuted at #1 on iTunes Rock Charts in 14 countries.

M!LK Brings their HOME MADE Style with Upcoming Album!

Popular boy idol group M!LK announced that they will be releasing a brand new album, HOME MADE CHU!? on September 30th. This will the latest album by the group since Juvenilizm-青春主義- (Seishun Shugi) back in March and will be their fourth album overall. The surprising announcement came during their M!LK ONLINE CHU!? SUMMER -Around The World live stream live event.

Not much is known about the album at the time in reporting except that the group promises a wholesome theme about family and togetherness, compared to their previously released album conceptual cinematic theme. Due to the ongoing crisis, the boys took a different take on making the album and added for fans to look forward to this DIY album. It will drop with two editions, a CD-only standard edition and a CD+DVD limited edition. LiSA Brings the Flame Once Again with Upcoming Release!

Vocalist LiSA announced that she will be teaming up with the anime sereis Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba once again by providing the theme song for the upcoming movie Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train, with her track “炎” (“Homura”). The movie will release on October 16th and will be the follow up to the ever-popular anime of last year. Being tied to the series with her popular song “紅蓮華” (“Gurenge”), LiSA looks to take a different path by singing an emotional ballad and was composed by herself and Yuki Kajiura of Fiction Junction fame. A preview of the song was featured on the trailer for the movie available below!
