cali-gari Release Their Newest Album In Blue Film

Visual-kei band cali-gari has revealed that they will be releasing a brand-new album titled Blue Film and is set to be released on September 30th. This new album comes a year after their last album, Kono Ame ni Utarete, which came out at the end of August in 2019. 

Blue Film is being released in two editions total, a standard CD-only edition and a limited edition that will come with a bonus DVD. The DVD will feature the band’s concert that was held on July 7th of 2020 at Veats Shibuya. The full track-listing is posted below along with the pre-order links.

Tokyo Ska Paradise Bring the Saber to the New Kamen Rider!

Popular nine-member ska band Tokyo Ska Paradise announced that they will be teaming up with the popular Kamen Rider series to provide the theme song for the newly announced Kamen Rider Saber. This will be the second Rider Reiwa period with 01 being the predecessor and will be based on fairytales and blades.

Bassist for the band Tsuyoshi Kawakami commented on the theme of the track and the difficulty of composing it while during the ongoing pandemic saying “With difficult times like this, I took a different approach of composing the song and made it with the image of not only being cheerful, but also giving courage when confronting difficulties”. Nogizaka46 Announces Big Music Video Collection

Mega-idol group Nogizaka46 revealed that they will be releasing a collection of music videos on September 9th. The new collection is titled ALL MV COLLECTION 2 - Ano Toki no Kanojotachi - and will contain the music videos for their singles from fourteen to twenty-five. The fourteenth single was their song “Harujion ga Saku Koro” while their twenty-fifth single, “Shiawase no Hogoshoku”, served as long time member Mai Shiraishi’s graduation song. 

ALL MV COLLECTION 2 - Ano Toki no Kanojotachi - is being released in six editions total, a type A edition, type B edition, and a limited edition, all of which will be released on DVD and Blu-ray. The type A edition and type B edition will feature a special making-of along with one of a twenty-four card set. The limited edition will feature everything coming with the other editions but will also come with a deluxe booklet. Pre-orders are up and posted below for each edition along with the music video for “Shiawase no Hogoshoku” for everyone to check out.

Takashi Matsuo Show Fans His Sorrow with Latest Music Video!

Member of the popular boy group Chotokkyu Takashi Matsuo released the music video for his track “Sorrow” on his YouTube channel. Set to be the lead track for his solo debut album うたうたい (“Uta Utai”)  dropping on September 2nd, Matsuo looks to lead on a different railway with his unique vocal style. Vocalist Vaundy will be leading their talent to the track and is an uplifting pop tune. 

The mini-album will drop with six tracks and will release in a CD-only standard edition. Be sure to check out the music video along with the pre-order link for Uta Utai below!

BRATS Looses Guitarist With Major Debut

Three-member rock band BRATS announced the release of their major debut album with Avex’s FAR EAST MONSTER RECORDS label. The upcoming album is titled Karma and is set to be released on September 30th. The guitarist for the band, Hinako, announced that she will be leaving the band and that her last day will be on September 30th. Hinako stated. “As I learned a lot through BRATS activities, I felt that I wanted to try something new, and that feeling was more and more than living with music”. She also noted that she was “very happy to play with BRATS”. 

Karma is being released in four editions total, a type A edition that will come with a CD plus DVD, a type B edition that will come with a CD + DVD, a limited edition that comes with sheet music, and another limited edition that comes with a digital version of the sheet music. Both limited editions will only come with the CD. The type A edition comes with the music video for a new song that released in July and the type B edition comes with the music video for the new song coming out late August.
