Bringing hype for their upcoming album Falsetto, four-member idol group RYUTist released the music video for their track “春にゆびきり” (“Haru ni Yubikiri”) on their YouTube channel and across digital music streaming platforms. Directed by Kazumi Nanba of label PENGUIN DISC, the video shows the girls peacefully singing throughout a lonely Tokyo evening with footage from live events intermixed. Written and composed by the duo PASOCOM MUSIC CLUB, the track introduces fans to a chilling digital wonderment unlike one anyone has heard before.

Falsetto will be released with twelve tracks and will include digitally released tracks “GIRLS”, “きっと、はじまり季節” (Kitto, Hajimari, Kisetsu”), and Satoko Shibata produced track “Nice Pose”. Mashiro na Canvas Welcomes Two New Members

Six-member girl idol group Mashiro Na Canvas revealed their two newest members to the group who joined the same day two of the older members left. Umeda Hikaru announced she would be leaving the group back at the end of March while on June 7 Ema Suzuki revealed she would also be leaving the group. The last day for both girls was June 22 which, on that same day, the group welcomed new members Yurina on the beach and Haruka Hata. A live performance is planned to be held July 11 at TSUTAYA O-EAST in Tokyo. Tickets go on sale June 27 for the live event. We here at OTY wish the new members the best of luck and good luck to the ex-members on their new journeys.

Beverly and Hanamura Sota Show Fans Endless Love!

Japanese pop vocalist Beverly teams up with Hanamura Sota, member of the popular male idol group Da-iCE for a special cover of the American song “Endless Love”, originally sung by Lionel Richie featuring Diana Ross in a duet in 1981. The track has been covered by many artists over the years, making it one of the greatest love songs of the past decades. Beverly and Hanamura Sota had both met at live events such as a-nation several times and discussed being able to sing together one day. That day finally came to fruition with their cover of “Endless Love” which was released on June 10 via all digital platforms. Both vocalists shared their comments on their collaboration, stating they were very happy to be able to bring this collaboration to fruition and enjoyed working with each other for the first time. Beverly and Hanamura Sota bring their own flavor and voices to “Endless Love”, creating a beautiful cover masterpiece which flows with love, emotion, and power. JO1 Gaze Upon The Stars In New Single

Boy group JO1 announced they will be releasing their second single, titled “Stargazer”, August 26. JO1 is a boy group formed from the popular TV series Produce101, which starts with 101 trainees; the talent pool is whittled down until only 11 remain and they form a boy group that goes on to make single and perform in shows. JO1 is the first group that comes out of the Japanese division of Produce101.

“Stargazer” is being released in four editions: a standard CD-only edition; a limited edition Type A which will come with a bonus DVD; another limited edition, Type B, which will come with a booklet; and a bundle edition which will include all editions together. Pre-orders are up and posted below along with their debut single “Infinity” so everyone can check them out.

[Alexandros] Has Cool Concept For A Bedroom In New Album

Rock band [Alexandros] announced that they will be releasing their very first concept album, Bedroom Joule, August 26. The new album was made with each member working out of their own home. It will feature the song “rooftop” which Yojei Kawakami (Vo, G) packed all of his thoughts into. The song “Gesshoku horaizun” is being used in an ad campaign for the sports drink Aquarius. 

Bedroom Joule is being released in three editions total including a standard CD-only edition, a limited edition that will come with a bonus DVD, and a second limited edition which will come with a bonus Blu-ray. The DVD and Blu-ray will feature a live studio recording for the whole album. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Japanese Red Cross Society.
