DAOKO Returns With Upcoming Album!

Vocalist DAOKO announced that she will be releasing a brand new album, anima, July 29. This will be the latest physical release by the artist since her DAOKO X Dragalia Lost album back in October of last year. She will be teaming up with Akito Katayose of GREAT3 fame once again as he will be taking on sound production for the album. The album will drop with twelve tracks and be made available early across all digital music streaming platforms June 24. However, for fans of the physical release it will be available via two editions: a standard CD-only edition and a CD + DVD limited edition. The DVD will include footage from DAOKO’s 2020 御伽の三都市 (Otogi no Mitoshi) tour that took place at Tokyo’s Ebitsu LIQUIDROOM in February. Kvi Baba Shows No Clouds With Latest Music Video!

To celebrate the release of his EP HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME, vocalist Kvi Baba released the music video for the track on his official YouTube channel. Released on May 29, this was the latest release from the artist since “Fight Song” earlier in the year and his third EP overall. Directed by Hideko Hotta, the music video takes a very artistic style in filming, utilizing reflections in several scenes which match the track’s very grounded composition. The EP dropped with six tracks total, all produced by BACHLOGIC, and was made available across all digital music streaming platforms (here).

CHiCO with Honey Works Kicks it into High Gear With Upcoming Album!

The vocal group CHiCO with Honey Works announced that they will be releasing a brand new album, 瞬く世界に i を揺らせ (Matataku Sekai ni i wo Yurase), September 16. This will be the latest album by the group since 私を染める i の歌 (Watashi wo Someru i no Uta) back in February 2018 and is their fifth major label album overall. The album will feature fourteen tracks including hits such as “ヒカリ証明論” (“Hikari Shomeiron”), “Mister Darling”, and one of Ken’s Top 5 Anime Tracks for Winter 2020, “決戦スピリット” (“Kessen Sprit”), among others. It will also drop with two editions: a CD-only standard edition and a two-CD + DVD limited edition. The limited CD will include a live rip of their 5th Anniversary Hall Tour 2019 LiVE 5's ON !! concert that took place at Nagoya last year and the DVD will include the music video for several tracks on the album.

Kenshi Yonezu Shows He is No STRAY SHEEP With Upcoming Album!

Vocalist Kenshi Yonezu announced that he will be releasing a brand new album, STRAY SHEEP, August 5. This will be the latest album by the artist since his chart-topping hit BOOTLEG back in November 2017 and his fifth album overall. Not much information was given about the album as of now but it is known that it is to feature fifteen tracks total and will include his hit “Lemon”, a self-cover version of “Paprika”, and “馬と鹿” (“Uma to Shika”). The album will be available in four editions: a CD-only standard edition, a CD + Art Book + DVD/Blu-ray limited edition, and a CD + Key chain + Charm limited edition. Currently there is no additional information about what will be included on the DVD/Blu-ray but it is known that the Key chain + Charm limited edition will be encased in a specially designed box.

M!LK Burnout Fast With Latest Release!

Five-member Music Corner alum M!LK announced that they would be releasing a brand new track, “Banzai”, on June 3 as a surprise release. This was the latest release by the group since their third album Juvenilizm-青春主義- (Juvenilizm -Seishun Shugi-) back in March. The track is a bright, uplifting rock tune which can be a breath of fresh air as it is only a 32-second track.

M!LK also announced they will be holding an online live titled M!LK ONLINE CHU!? June 27. Details of the live are to be announced at a later date on their official website. Be sure to check out the track across all digital music streaming platforms along with their latest music video below, for “かすかに、君だった。” (“Kasukani, Kimidatta”).
