Japanese funk rock band BRADIO released a special stay-at-home session of their track “Sugar Spot” to promote staying at home during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is also a part of their 10th anniversary which they kicked off with their tour earlier this year. “Sugar Spot” was a track included on their second demo single “DANCE N SOUL” which came out in 2012. Industry legend Chisako Mikami announced that she will be releasing not only a single, “Red Burn / TRAJECTORY- キセキ-“ (“TRAJECTORY -Kiseki-“) on August 19, but a brand new album, Emergence, October 7. Both releases will be used to celebrate Mikami’s twentieth anniversary in the music industry. Currently “Red Burn” is set to be used as the Fukuoka Redhopes cheer song for the upcoming season. To hype up the release and the season, the track will be released across all digital music streaming platforms.
The single will available in two editions including a CD-only standard edition and a CD + DVD limited edition. The limited edition will include footage from her live tour that took place at Osaka’s Shangri-La last year. Currently there is not enough information about Emergence at the time of reporting but it is known that it will feature tracks from the last year, giving it a nice 13-song track list.

Vocalist Unknöwn Kun announced that he will be dropping a brand new single, “Stay Forever”, July 8. This will be the latest release by the artist since his EP Whö Is Me back in October of last year and his latest digital release since “Lost Sheep” back in January. Currently being used for cosmetic company Shiseido’s upcoming product Anessa’s commercial song, the track gives off a refreshing melody not unlike the product it is advertising.
The single will drop with three tracks and a CD-only standard edition and be available across all digital music streaming platforms. Unfortunately there are no pre-order links at this time but check out the music video for his latest track “No. 005” below!

Following the release of their track “Dropout”, four-member pop rock band SEKAI NO OWARI announced that they will be releasing a brand new track, “umbrella”, across all digital music streaming platforms. Currently being used as the theme song for the suspense drama 竜の道 二つの顔の復讐者 (Ryu no Michi Futatsu no Kao no Fukushusa), the track will also be a part of a double A-side release June 24. This release will be titled “umbrella/ Dropout” and their latest release since their album Eye back in February of last year. It will be their fifteenth single overall and will be released with three editions including a CD-only standard edition and two CD + DVD limited editions called Type A and Type B. There are not many differences between the Types except that their covers will be associated with a specific track.

Vocalist Sano Ibuki released the music video for his track “Jewelry” on his official YouTube. Attached to his first EP SYMBOL which dropped back several weeks back on the 13th, the track takes a more electronica feel which is brilliantly paired with Ibuki’s impressive vocals. The music video was uniquely animating, the lyrics giving it a flair that fans might not be used to seeing. SYMBOL was released with seven tracks and a CD-only standard edition.
