SHISHAMO Drops Two New Songs On Their YouTube This May

Three-member rock band SHISHAMO dropped two brand new songs on their official YouTube channel. The first of the new songs is “Ashita wanai” which is already out and posted below. In the video for this track is a drawing of the band playing along on a crumpled piece of paper and a dialogue box that features the lyrics as they are sung. The second song won’t drop until May 26 but it will be titled “Mōsō samā”, which is actually a song from 2017, but it was only released in a small version then; this time it will be the complete version. It is described as “a humorous love song that makes you fantasize about a date with a lover you haven’t seen yet.” If you are excited for this second song then be sure to subscribe to their official YouTube page so you can catch it as soon as it drops.

TOMOVSKY Brings His Life Full Circle With Upcoming Album!

Singer-songwriter TOMOVSKY announced that he will release a brand new album, LIFE RECORDER, July 1. This will be the latest album release by the artist since his SHINKYOKU TIME 2018 back in April of last year and will be his twenty-third album overall. Not else is known about the album at the time of reporting except that it will drop with a CD-only standard edition and will include fifteen tracks total. 

Unfortunately there are no pre-order links for LIFE RECORDER at the time of reporting, but in the meantime check out a preview for his track “立派な浮遊霊” (“Rippana Fuyurei”), which will be released on the album, below!

MAN WITH A MISSION Goes Into Their Own History In New Documentary

Rock band MAN WITH A MISSION have announced that they will be releasing their very first documentary as part of the band’s ten year anniversary. The new movie is being titled MAN WITH A MISSION THE MOVIE -TRACE the HISTORY- and will be released on August 19th. Chenko Tsukagoshi severed as director for the movie and was in theaters in the month of February.

MAN WITH A MISSION THE MOVIE -TRACE the HISTORY- is being released in two editions, a DVD edition, and a Blu-ray edition. Pre-orders are up and are posted below. Be sure to check out our Music Corner for a more in-depth look into the band.

Daichi Miura Gives Fans A Reason To Stay Home!

Japanese R&B-pop vocalist and dancer Daichi Miura have started a special set of YouTube live releases titled “1 Song Home Live” to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 as Daichi’s 「DAICHI MIURA LIVE TOUR 2019-2020 COLORLESS」has been postponed indefinitely. “1 Song Home Live” will come out on each scheduled day his tour was supposed to take place and each live special will be available for 1 week. After the cancellation, Daichi wanted to bring his fans together in a way that they can still continue to watch him live. This week’s release is song #8 “Delete My Memories”. 9nine Makes Small Comeback

Girl idol group 9nine (pronounced “nine”) have announced a live event for May  22nd. This is the first time the group is doing anything since their fourth member, Kanae Yoshii left May of 2019. Only three members now want to do something special for all their fans stuck at home. The event is being called “9nine online event 2020 ~ ONLINE ON 9NINE ~” and will have members participate from home and develop performances that work from remote locations. Official details on how to participate will be posted on their official website. This is great news for fans of the group and hopefully there will be more events like this to look forward to in the future. A teaser has been posted to the group’s official Twitter account.
