PIKOTARO Promotes Handwashing and Prays for Peace in Latest Music Video!

Popular comedian PIKOTARO released a brand new track "PPAP 2020"  on his official YouTube channel. Being used as an acronym for "Pray for People And Peace”, he hopes to encourage people around the world to stay safe during this current global crisis. Used as an updated version of his 2016 hit “PPAP” (“Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen”), PIKOTARO parodied his old tune by adding a catchy chorus of "Wash! Wash! Wash!" with the mission of helping children and adults wash their hands thoroughly, albeit with his over the top zany style.

Lastly added this special message to the video:

From PIKOTARO to the whole world...

I made this in a hurry for Smile and Safe hands!

Wash it! Smile! Protect it!

Come on, people, let's Wash! Wash! Wash!

Toko Miura Leaves an ASTERISK On Her Career With New Mini-Album!

Vocalist Toko Miura announced that she will releasing her first mini-album, ASTERISK, May 25. For those who might not know who Miura is, her claim to fame came from her involvement with the rock band RADWIMPS’ track “祝祭” (“Shukusai”). The track was used in the 2019 animated movie Weathering to You and featured in the 70th Kohaku Uta. ASTERISK will be the latest release by Miura since her cover album かくしてわたしは、透明からはじめることにした (Kakushite Watashi wa Tomei kara Hajimeru koto ni Shita) back in 2017 and will be her first originally produced album.

The album will feature seven tracks total and a CD-only standard edition. Each track is composed and written by a different guest artist such as Music Corner’s own TENDRE and Maisa Tsuno of the band Akai Koen, which will make Miura’s re-debut in the industry a strong one.

Unfortunately there are no pre-order links at the time of reporting but in the meantime check out the music video for “Shukusai” below!
