King Gnu just unleashed their latest music video “Doron” to promote their album Ceremony which was released on January 15! “Doron” is also being used for the Japanese movie Sumaho wo Otoshita Dakena no ni Toraware no Satsujinki Shudaika (Stolen Identity 2). “Doron” is a heavier tune and the video shows this heavy side along with a unique memorability that fits with the theme of the movie. Karin Miyamoto has announced that she will be leaving pop group Juice=Juice to focus on her solo career. Juice=Juice is part of the collective idol girl group Hello! Project which includes groups such as Morning Musume. Karin has been with the band since its debut in 2013. The announcement was made on Juice=Juice’s official YouTube page in a three-minute video where she talks about how she wants to “create her own worldview” and “use those for her performances”. Karin’s graduation won’t be until after all the tour dates for the year are completed. We here at Ongaku To You wish Karin Miyamoto the best in her future endeavors.
Four-member punk rock band COUNTRY YARD released the music videos for their tracks “Tonight” and “Purple Days” on PIZZA OF DEATH’s official YouTube channel. Set to be the lead track of their upcoming album The Roots Evolved, set for release March 4, “Tonight” will be the latest release by the group since their best-of album Greatest Not Hits back in October of last year and will the band’s fourth album overall. Both “Tonight” and “Purple Days” perfectly show off the group’s high intensity compositions and impressive English lyrical composition skill. The album will drop with eleven tracks and will be available only through a CD-only standard edition.

Japanese singer-songwriter AIMYON just released her latest music video “Sayonara Kyou ni” to promote her latest digital single which released for download and streaming on February 14! “Sayonara Kyou ni” is currently being used as the theme song for the popular TV program news zero. “Sayonara Kyou ni” is a beautiful tune whose composition and guitar blend with AIMYON’s strong smooth vocals. Korean boy group One N’ Only announced they will be dropping their very first album, titled ON’ O, April 15. One N’ Only got started in 2018 and in such a short time has already dropped two number one singles, “Dark Knight” and “Category/My Love”, which both debuted last year. The upcoming album will have nine songs which were previously released and six new songs which were recorded for the new album. ON’ O will be released in three editions total: the Type A edition will be CD-only, the Type B edition will also be CD-only but will feature two bonus songs from EEBiSH and SBC, and the Type C edition will come with a bonus Blu-ray which will feature the group’s performance at Zepp Diver City on November 24 of 2019. Pre-orders are up and posted below along with their number one hit song “Dark Knight” so you can get a small preview of the new album. At the bottom is the full track listing as well.
