Gearing up for their major label debut album Zoo!!, Music Corner alum Necry Talkie dropped the music video for their track “夢みるドブネズミ” (“Yumemiru Dobunezumi”) on their official YouTube channel. The song is set to be the first track for their album. The track was debuted during a live show earlier in the week wherein lead guitarist Asahi commented, “This track is a very fun song to perform and while the lyrics are somewhat nonsensical, I wanted it to be a song that is a Necry Talkie like song.”
The music video is very comic book-esque with shots of group members appearing like construction paper made frames with coloring very similar to the album’s artwork. Scurrying around in the background of the video are comical drawings of rats that interact with the members from time to time. Manga-like sound effects can also be heard, which adds to the lighthearted zaniness. All of this is combined with high energy compositions Necry famously puts out, making “Yumemiru Dobunezumi” an unforgettable music video among their already superb discography.
As previously reported, Zoo!! will include hit tracks “深夜とコンビニ” (“Yoake to Conbini”) and “ぽんぽこ節” (“Ponpoko Bushi”) and will total out to eleven tracks. The album will drop with both a CD-only standard edition and a CD + DVD limited edition. The DVD will include footage from their latest one-band live which took place back in August 2019 at Tokyo’s Mynavi BLITZ Live House.
