showmore holds release party for latest album

Music Corner alumn showmore dropped the music video for their track “now” on Spincoster’s official YouTube channel. Set to be one of the lead tracks for their upcoming album too close to know released on December 18,  “now” also features fellow Music Corner alum SIRUP. Directed by Masaki Uedo and moi, the video takes the artistic view of media corruption with composition that was just built for both Manami Nezu’s and SIRUP’s smooth vocals.

As previously reported the new album has ten tracks and will release with a CD-only standard edition. In celebration of the new album a release party is being held in the LIQIUDROOM in Tokyo on February 5, which has been a goal of the group since they formed. Unfortunately tickets are no longer on sale for the event but you can pick up too close to know here along with the music video for “now” below!

Aimer to sing final song for climactic end of Fate movie trilogy

Japanese pop singer-songwriter Aimer announced that she will be singing the theme song to the popular anime movie Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel III.spring song . The song is titled “Haru wa Yuku” and Aimer announced this fantastic piece of news at her Aimer Hall Tour 19/20 rouge de bleu. She is famous for her deep voice and for many of the theme songs she has sung for popular anime such as Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel movies, Bleach, Vinlad Saga, Gundam UC, and many more!

Aimer’s newest single will be a double A-side and titled “Haru no Yuku/marie”. “Haru no Yuku” will be produced and composed by the famous Yuki Kajiura who has worked on several anime such as Tsubasa Chronicle, Noir, Sword Art Online, Madoka Magica, .hack//sign, and many, many more. “marie” will be used as the image song to the 150th Anniversary Hapusuburuku-ten 600 years of Empire History. “Haru no Yuku/marie” will be released on March 25, 2020!! POIDOL are curious boys

Visual kei band POIDOL revealed they will be dropping a brand new song titled “Ryokiteki Shonen” which is set to drop January 15. “Ryokiteki Shonen” will be available in two editions including a standard edition which will be CD-only and a CD + DVD edition which will feature the music video for the lead track and some private photos. POIDOL has already dropped the music video for the upcoming single; it will be posted below along with links for the pre-orders in addition to the full track listing for each edition.

Kishidan does theme for upcoming movie about Mazinger Z

Rock band and Music Corner alum Kishidan revealed they will be doing the theme song for the upcoming movie 「前田建設ファンタジー営業部」(Maedakensetsu fantajī eigyōbu) which is set to debut in theaters January 31. The new song is being titled “Kyou Kara Oretachi wa!!” and will be released February 26. Bandai has already dropped a trailer for the upcoming movie during which you can hear the theme song in the background. “Kyou Kara Oretachi wa!!” has been performed in some live performances and is always a crowd-pleaser.  It is being released in two editions total, a standard edition which will be CD-only and a CD + DVD edition which will come with a bonus DVD featuring the music video for the title track and the documentary Kishidan Banpaku 2019. Pre-orders are up and posted below along with the preview for Maedakensetsu fantajī eigyōbu so be sure to check those out.

Love is Born again as Ai Otsuka celebrates 16th anniversary with concert release!

Japanese pop singer-songwriter and major staple in the industry Ai Otsuka is releasing the concert held on September 8, 2019 which marked her 16th anniversary debut performance at Hibiya Open Air Concert Hall. LOVE IS BORN ~16th Anniversary 2019 will be released January 15, 2020 and will come in three editions. What makes LOVE IS BORN ~16th Anniversary 2019 so special is that one of the editions will be a live 2-CD edition of the concert in addition to the other two formats being 2-DVD and Blu-ray. All three editions will contain a total of 21 tracks including her latest song “Chime” which has been used as the opening theme to the 2019 anime reboot Fruits Basket along with two other songs she will also sing live for the first time: “XOX” and “Akkanbe”. LOVE IS BORN ~16th Anniversary 2019 will also include a special movie as a bonus as well as audio commentary by Ai Otsuka herself!
