Japanese R&B singer-songwriter JASMINE is back with her newest in EP JASMINE 2.0 which dropped digitally on November 25! JASMINE 2.0 is her first album in over five years since PURE LOVE BEST was released in 2014. The new album includes previous digital song releases such as “Black Kitty” and “COCOROZASHI feat. AK-69” along with six new tracks! To celebrate the release of EP JASMINE dropped a new video called “FALLIN’ feat. 5lack”.

Arashi and Kenshi Yonezu collaborate for historic track!

NHK announced a once in a lifetime collaboration for their historic 2020 year: five-member male idol group Arashi and singer-songwriter Kenshi Yonezu will be teaming up for the group’s track “Kaito”. This collab is being dubbed the “NHK2020 song” and NHK hopes to inspire the younger generation for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Yonezu will be writing and composing the track with Arashi doing the brunt of the performance. The debut of “Kaito” will be during the 2020 NHK Kohaku and will be subsequently featured throughout various NHK sports programs. Now more than ever will fans look forward to the many surprises that will happen during the Kohaku and they will also look forward to more once in a life time collaborations. 

Morning Musume Announces Sixty-Eighth Single

Long-standing idol group Morning Musume has revealed they will be dropping their sixty-eighth single. The upcoming single will be a triple-A-side single titled “KOKORO & KARADA / LOVE Pedia / Ningen Kankei No way way” and will be released on January 22. “KOKORO & KARADA / LOVE Pedia / Ningen Kankei No way way” is being released in seven editions total with three standard editions that will be CD-only, three limited editions that will come with a bonus DVD, and another limited edition that will come with, not only a bonus DVD, but also an application card that is only valid in Japan.

Not much more has been revealed about the upcoming single, but pre-orders are already up and will be posted below. Also posted below is the leading song, “KOKORO & KARADA,” for the upcoming single to act as a preview.

Lia REVIVES popular anime hits with new album!

Popular Japanese vocalist Lia announced she will be reviving popular anime hits with her latest album REVIVES II -Lia sings beautiful anime songs- which will come to fans December 18! This is a special album as it marks Lia’s 20th anniversary in the music industry. Lia is most famous for her theme songs for popular TV anime and Ero-ge visual novels AIR and Clannad.

REVIVES II will be Lia’s second anime cover album and first release in over a year since her REVIVES -Lia sings beautiful anime songs- which came out in April last year. REVIVES II will feature a total of ten beautiful tracks including songs from Clannad, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Madoka Magica, and more! The full track listing is still to be determined but you can check out the confirmed tracks below! REVIVES II comes in a CD-only edition which you can pre-order at the link below.

Lia will also be having her 20th anniversary concert December 20th at Team Smile Toyosu PIT (live house show). The show begins at 19:00 JST (7:00 pm JST, 10:00 am GMT).

JUJU Gets Busy in 2020

Artist JUJU has revealed she is going to have a very busy 2020 starting off with a brand-new single that is set to drop on February 26 titled “Stayin’ Alive”.

“Stayin’ Alive” is going to be used for the medical drama Top Knife. “Stayin’ Alive” is being released in two editions. One will be a standard CD-only edition and the other will be a limited edition that will come with both CD and DVD. The DVD features eight live tracks from her performance at Nippon Budokan, which was part of her JUJU TOUR 2018: "I". Pre-orders are up and will be posted at the bottom of the article.

On top of all of that is the announcement that she will be dropping her greatest hits album in the spring of 2020. The announcement came at the final performance of her -15th ANNIVERSARY- JUJU HALL TOUR 2019: “YOUR REQUEST,” which was held on October 10 at Tokyo International Forum Hall A. JUJU went on to say, “I will continue to sing songs that will not stop!”
