showmore tells fans it's too close to know what's to come next with new album!

Music Corner alum showmore announced they will be releasing a brand new album, too close to know, December 18. This will be the latest album from the duo since overnight back in 2018.

Containing ten tracks, too close to know will include hit track “now”, featuring fellow Music Corner star SIRUP, along with digitally released track “1mm”. It will also be available only through a CD-only standard edition. SIRUP will not be the only guest artist to appear on the album as LUCKY TAPES, Mori Zentaro, and Shin Sakiura participated in some way as well. Unfortunately there are no pre-order links for the album at this time but in the meantime check out the studio live version of “call my name” below!

KIRA shows us the perfect love with new digital single and more!

Japanese R&B/reggae vocalist and songwriter KIRA brings a new digital single after over half a year. “perfect love” dropped digitally October 30 while its video just debuted on YouTube November 5 to promote it. The track was produced by Kazuhiko Maeda and brings a sweet R&B sound to KIRA’s husky, smoky vocals. The song represents and shows the bonds and love that women and men show each other. It discusses the bonds they share and how neither can live without each other, hence the title of “perfect love”. You can get your copy on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, and Amazon Music! KiRA will be hosting her ReBirth Premium One Man Live December 25 at Umeda Club Quattro. Doors open at 18:00 and the event starts at 19:00. Tickets are 4200 yen in advance and 5200 yen at the door.

Ryo Nishikido lifts the curtain on his solo album!

Former Kanjani8 star Ryo Nishikido divulged more information about his upcoming solo album NOMAD. Dropping December 11, NOMAD will be the latest release by Nishikido since his departure from Kanjani8 back in September and, as previously reported, will be tonally different from his work during his Johnny’s Entertainment days. The album will feature eleven tracks with Nishikida standing out on his own, as all tracks were written, composed, and produced by Nishikido himself. The album will also be available in three editions including a CD-only standard edition and two CD + DVD limited editions simply titled Type A and Type B. Not much is different between the three editions except that Type A will include music videos for lead track “Nomad” and “Point of Departure” while Type B will include a documentary of behind-the-scenes footage of Nishikida’s current live tour 「Ryo Nishikido LIVE TOUR 2019 "NOMAD”」along with an exclusive photo book. Not to be outdone by the limited editions, the standard edition will include an additional twelfth track titled “Potential”. Pre-order NOMAD in the links below!

miwa is bringing in the holidays with new single!

Japanese pop singer-songwriter miwa announced she will be releasing a new single entitled “Storyteller/Teenage Dream”, a double A-side single, December 25! The track “Teenage Dream” is being used as the intro theme to popular anime Boruto, the sequel to Naruto.

“Storyteller/Teenage Dream” will be released in three editions: a CD + DVD limited edition, CD-only regular edition, and a CD-only limited pressing edition. The limited pressing edition is only available until February 2020 and will boast exclusive packing. The track listing for each edition is currently TBA. sumika takes the higher ground in new single

Rock band sumika revealed they will be dropping a brand new double A-side single December 11 titled “Negai / Higher Ground” which will be their fourth major single released. “Higher Ground” is being used as the main theme for the second My Hero Academia movie titled My Hero Academia THE MOVIE Heroes: Rising which is to be released December 20.

“Negai / Higher Ground” will be available in three editions total including a standard CD-only edition, a limited edition that will come with a bonus CD, and a second limited edition that will have only one CD but will also include cards which will feature original illustrations on them from My Hero Academia. Pre-orders are already up and posted below.
