Asaka touches the heart

Up-and-coming vocalist Asaka revealed she will be releasing her very first album October 7 titled Heart Touch. What makes October 7 so special is that it will be Asaka’s twentieth birthday. The leading song on the album will be “Raise Your Heart”  which was composed by UNISON SQUARE GARDEN’s Tomoya Tabuchi and arranged by PENGUIN RESEARCH’s Shota Horie, with lyrics co-written by Asaka and Tomoya Tabuchi. Also on the album will be Asaka’s previously released singles which were all used in various anime productions.

Heart Touch is being released in two editions, a standard edition and a limited edition. The standard edition will incluldeh a CD and will feature a randomly selected autographed photo (from five variations). The limited edition will include a CD, Blu-ray, and one of the randomly selected autographed photos. The Blu-ray will feature a music video and Making Of for “Raise Your Heart” along with footage from Asaka 1st One Man Live -graduate from LJK-, and Asaka 19th Birthday LIVE -Make It Happen LTB-. Also, in honor of Asaka’s birthday and her new album, there will be a live show October 6 at EX THEATER ROPPONGI, Tokyo which will be titled Asaka 20th Birthday Live ~EVE~.

Naz flaunts her powerful vocals once again with new music video!

Just in time for her debut EP “JUQCY”, Okinawa-born vocalist Naz dropped the music video for her track “Clear Skies” on her official YouTube channel. “Clear Skies” is composed by Tomita himself with Lori Fine of unit COLDFEET as writer, and it puts Naz’s powerful English vocals as a focal point with an artistic designs flashing between scenes.

As previously reported, Keiichi Tomita, along with several members of his music production team WONK, will produce—with Naz taking writing duties—two of the tracks on the single. “JUQCY” will drop with five tracks total.

Hiro Shimono raises the flag of his soul

Voice actor and singer Hiro Shimono revealed he will be dropping his fourth single “Soul Flag” October 23. This comes months after Hiro’s song “sympathy” which was released back in March. For “Soul Flag”, RUCCA will serve as the lyricist and Ryo Takahashi will serve as arranger/composer. In honor of this release there will also be a talk event in Tokyo and Osaka in August and November. Tickets for this will be sent out via a lottery to buyers on mail order sites, all Animate stores, Kyanime, and online stores.

“Soul Flag” will be released in three editions total, a type A, type B, and a limited edition. The types A & B editions will both be identical save for their respective cover art and will be CD-only. The Cro-Magnons reveals new album with a punch

Punk rock band The Cro-Magnons revealed they will be releasing their thirteenth album titled Punch October 9. Punch will be released almost a year, to the day, following Cro-Magnons’ previous album Rainbow Thunder which came out last October 10. The band has not had a release since Rainbow Thunder.

Punch is being released in two editions total, a CD edition and a vinyl edition. Both editions are the same, excluding the format they are released through, and they will feature a total of twelve tracks. You can pre-order your copy of Punch at the links and view the full track listing.

DA PUMP shows how a festival is in New York with new music video!

Looking to continue their success from their ultra popular hit “U.S.A”, group DA PUMP dropped the music video for their upcoming single “P.A.R.T.Y. ~Universal Festival~” on Avex’s official YouTube channel. Dropping August 7, “P.A.R.T.Y. ~Universal Festival~” will be the latest single from the group since “Sakura” back in March and it will be released with four editions, a CD-only standard edition, two CD + DVD limited editions titled Type A and Type B, and a CD + Goods special edition. The Type A DVD will include both the music video along with the Making Of while Type B will include not only the music video but a special dance edit of the video along with a Kamen Rider version of video, as the track is set to be the ending theme song for the upcoming Kamen Rider ZI-O Over Quartzer movie. The special edition will include a small logo printed mirror along with a small photo book.

The music video features the group showing off their impressive dance skills in the heart of Time Square and in Brooklyn, New York in front of a group of kids and adults. Several of their dance moves this time around are based off of Michael Jackson’s hit song “Thriller”’s choreography with the incorporation of the famous zombie dance movements.
