Cali ≠ gari announces new album after seven and a half years

Visual kei band Cali ≠ gari announced they will be releasing a brand new album for the first time in seven and a half years. The album will be titled 「この雨に撃たれて」(Kono Ame ni Utarete) and will be released August 28, containing a rain motif and several songs discussing or mentioning rain. Fans can look forward to it in two editions, one of which coined the Evening Shower Edition which will come with two CDs. The other edition, the Autumn Rain Edition, will be a CD + DVD. Perfume kicks off anniversary with Best Of album!

Popular three-member techno-pop group Perfume announced their first Best Of album for September 18. Titled Perfume The Best ”P Cubed”, the album will include digital remastering, by popular DJ Yasutaka Nakama, of several songs throughout Perfume’s outstanding career, and will boast a whopping fifty-two song track listing across a three-disc set. The album will play as “part one” of the group’s celebration of fifteen years in the Japanese music industry and Perfume promises more years to come!

The announcement of the album came as a surprise during Perfume’s Perfume LOCKS! radio program during which member Ayaka Nishiwaki commented that the tracks were chosen between all three members of the group along with several staff members. Therefore, the album is not only to be enjoyed by fans of Perfume but for listeners who might have only heard a song or two in the past and would like to know more about the group.

Perfume The Best ”P Cubed” will be released with three different editions: a standard CD-only edition, a CD + DVD/Blu-ray limited edition, and a CD + DVD/Blu-ray special edition. There isn’t much different content-wise between the limited edition and special edition except that the special edition includes a deluxe photo book, a must-have for fans.

Blue Encount has Bad Paradox

Four-member rock band Blue Encount announced they will be releasing a brand new single, “Bad Paradox”, which will be released September 11. This announcement came shortly after the release of Blue Encount’s most recent album SICK(S), which came out June 5. “Bad Paradox” is serving as a song for medical drama Voice 110 Kinkyu Shirei Shitsu.

The single will be released in two editions, a standard edition and a limited edition. The standard edition will be CD-only and the limited edition be CD + DVD. On the limited edition DVD you will get the concert held June 21, 2019 at Nakano Sun Plaza in Tokyo and a documentary as well. Sayaka Yamamoto has rocking new single

Former NMB48 star Sayaka Yamamoto announced she will be dropping a brand new single September 4. Its title has yet to be revealed but it will be an upper rock tune and revealed at 「ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2019」,「MONSTER baSH 2019｣, and「宗像フェス ～Fukutsu Koinoura～」(Munakata fesu～Fukutsu Koinoura～), which are all big rock festivals being held in Japan this summer. Ongaku To You’s own Ken will be in attendance at the 「ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2019」but unfortunately he will not be present the day Yamamoto will be performing.

The upcoming single will be released in three editions. The standard edition will be CD-only but it also is to include a poster; the limited edition will include a CD and DVD and the poster as well. On the limited edition DVD you also get a music video of the lead song along with the Making Of for the music video—and you get a behind-the-scenes look at a photo shoot. The third edition of the upcoming single will be the FC edition which will come with a CD, DVD, and photobook; however, at the time of this article, the FC edition is not available for pre-order. Sakura Ebis shows fans how high their octaves are with new album!

After the success of their latest single “Winter Sleep”, popular six-member idol group Sakura Ebis announced that they will be releasing a brand new album, octave, August 21. The announcement came as a surprise during their Mori Town live in Tokyo this past weekend which, at the end of the event, member Ayame Kawase proudly exclaimed, “Sakura Ebis will be releasing a second album titled octave!!!!!”

Not much is known about octave except that it will include the twelve most popular tracks of the last year and feature one brand new track to round out a thirteen-song track list. The group also commented, “We want to show everyone just how much we’ve grown as a group in the last year with this album!”
