Wagamama Rakia is turning over a new leaf with new album!

Three-member idol group Wagamama Rakia announced that not only will they be joining the music label Walhalla but they will also be releasing a brand new album titled Starting Over July 9. This will be the latest release from the group since their former member Reina Aitani’s graduation back in December of last year. As the new album name implies, with all of these changes happening at once it feels like Wagamama Rakia will be starting a new beginning with this new album. Starting Over will be released with a standard CD-only edition and will include every song the group made since their debut back in 2016. Boasting a massive twenty-song track list, Starting Over will include several re-recordings of past hits to match the new member lineup.

Necry Talkie talks about the up and downs in life with Tsurezure tribute song!

Popular band Necry Talkie dropped the music video for their track “波のある生活” (“Nami no Are Seikatsu”) on their official YouTube channel. A part of popular beverage maker Suntory Tsurezure’s Tribute campaign, Necry Talkie joins other popular artists Fredricks, tofubeats, and Saucy Dog to ponder how one would conceptualize the idea of “being oneself”; the concept of this idea must be taken from the famous book Tsurezuregusa. Necry Talkie crafted the lyrics and feel of “Nami no Aru Seikatsu” from story 243, whose theme revolves around the sigma of children being praised for asking the more honest questions while adults practicing the same thing results in the exact opposite—being chastised. With “Nami no Aru Seikatsu”, Necry Talkie’s unique and atmospheric compositions possess such a complex theme of the passage that they have chosen and made them into a more inspirational track. The music video also has the band hanging out with a child in the middle of moving, and while the child looks sad and conflicted regarding the idea of moving, she finally comes to accept it.

No word on whether or not “Nami no Aru Seikatsu” will have a physical release or not, but one might think that it will wash on up in a future release later down the line. In the meantime, check out the music video for “Nami no Aru Seikatsu” below!

Satoyasu Shomura announces hiatus from [ALEXANDROS]

Drummer of popular band [ALEXANDROS] Satoyasu Shomura announced that he will be taking a hiatus from the band, effective immediately. This news comes as a shocker to fans as Shomura is already taking a break to heal from back pain since April. However, as announced on the band’s official site, after a more detailed analysis it was announced that Shomura has been diagnosed with a form of dystonia and will unfortunately be taking time off to find treatment for the condition. For those who might not be in the know, dystonia is a disorder where the affected muscles contract uncontrollably and can cause body parts to twist involuntarily. While Shomura is getting treatment, Riad Take of the band BIGMAMA will be used as a support member in Shomura’s stead.

We at Ongaku to You would like to send our thoughts and prayers to Shomura and wish for a speedy recovery.

TENDRE teams up with YeYe and shows that with Honda, anywhere is possible!

Summer in Japan means one thing: “adventure to your heart’s content”—and popular vocalist TENDRE shows us how with the music video for his latest song “ANYWAYS”. Teaming up with vocalist YeYe, “ANYWAYS” is being used as the main theme for popular automobile manufacturer Honda’s latest motorcycle campaign HondaGO.

HondaGO instills younger audiences with the idea that, with Honda bikes, the world is their oyster to go out and explore, with new experiences waiting for them right around the corner. Equipped with TENDRE’s alluring vocals, the music shows that listeners will be able to explore true freedom with Honda bikes.

Keep your eyes peeled as several guests appear throughout the music video, such as voice actress Nozomi Nishida, CyberJapan dance member Karen, and popular stylist Fumihiko Okabe showing off that motorcycles are for everyone.

No word on whether or not “ANYWAYS” will have a physical release or not, but one might think that it will roll its way onto TENDRE’s newest EP IN SIGHT-EP later in October. In the meantime, check out the music video for “ANYWAYS” below (with—maybe—the nearest dealership for Honda bikes the next window over)!
