Summer Vacation Leads the way

Dance and vocal unit Lead announced their up-and-coming brand new single “Summer Vacation” which is set to come out July 24. “Summer Vacation” will feature a total of three tracks depending on which edition of the single you decide to pick up. “Summer Vacation” will be released in four editions total. The standard edition will be CD-only and the other three editions will be limited editions, each being a little different. The Type A limited edition will include both a CD and DVD and the DVD will feature the music video for “Summer Vacation” along with a Making Of video for the song. Additionally, Type A will have a “Behind the Jacket Shooting” to wrap up the DVD. Type B, also including a CD and DVD, will include a DVD completely different from the Type A edition; this one will feature special talk content. Type C will be CD-only but will come with a special photo book. You can pre-order your preferred copy below.

Akishibu Project invites fans to The First Summer of Reiwa!

After the release of their Best Of album, popular nine-member idol group Akishibu Project announced that they will be releasing a brand new single titled “The First Summer” August 28, continuing the group’s summer release trend.

“The First Summer” will be the latest release by the group since the addition of the four-member second generation. The group commented that, with this second generation, it’s like a brand new start for Akishibu Project. They also commented on the single’s title, stating, “Because this will be Reiwa’s first summer we used the phrase ‘The First’ to not only to indicate the first summer for a new Era for Japan but also a new era for Akishbu Project as well.”

Akishibu Project will start this new generation with a bang as “The First Summer” will drop with five different editions simply titled Types A, B, C, D, and E. What will come included with each edition will be announced at a later date.

GLAY shows fans a peek of just how fine they are!

Long-running four-member rock band GLAY dropped a short teaser for their upcoming song “JUST FINE” on their official YouTube channel. Attached to the single “G4・V-Democracy 2019-“ dropping July 2, “JUST FINE” is looking to be another amazing piece written by the legendary guitarist TAKURO and is currently the opening theme for popular baseball anime Ace of Diamond act II. Having unveiled “Teaser Part1”, GLAY will be tempting fans with new teasers everyday until the release of the full music video.

“G4・V-Democracy 2019-“ will be used as the first part in the group’s anniversary series for their twenty-fifth year in the music industry. The single will drop with four tracks and include not only “JUST FINE” but also “COLORS”, which is the insert song for the upcoming theatrical version of FINAL FANTASY XIV Dad of Light, and “YOUR SONG”, which will feature popular vocalist MISIA.

The single will be released with two editions: a CD-only standard edition and a CD +DVD limited edition. The DVD will include not only the music video for “JUST FINE” and “COLORS” but also the Making Of that GLAY did in Hawaii.

Uru brings power to fans for first 2020 concert!

Popular vocalist Uru announced that she will be releasing her brand new single “願い” (“Negai”) September 11. This will be the latest release by Uru since her single “Prologue” back in December of last year and will her eighth single overall. “Negai” will also be used as the ending theme for the highly anticipated sci-fi anime Ganblem airing July 5 which, as previously reported, Eir Aoi will also be doing the opening theme for. Uru commented that she hopes fans will be able enjoy “Negai” no matter where they go. The single will release with three editions: a CD-only standard edition, a CD + DVD limited edition, and a CD + Blu-ray Anime Edition.

Uru also announced that she will be performing a one-woman live in the famed Nakano Sun Plaza in Tokyo February 29 of next year. Loving titled Uru Live『Precious One day ～Uru-u Year 2020～』, this live will be mostly fan driven as its entire track list will be determined by fans. INTERSECTION surprises fans with announcement of first album!

After the release of their latest single “You’re the Reason”, four-member boy group INTERSECTION announced that they will be dropping their first album in August. The news came as a surprise announcement during their first fan club event in SEL OCTAGON TOKYO this past weekend. The group told fans to look forward to more news about the album at a later date. 

Along with the exciting news of the album, INTERSECTION also dropped the music video for “You’re the Reason” on their official YouTube channel. The video features the boys roughing it in various parts of Los Angeles, singing in a blend of English and Japanese to make fans of the genre swoon over them in an instant. Check it out below!
