ecke crosses over to their artistic side with brand new music video!

After the release of their single “Crossing”, three-member Indie Corner darling ecke dropped the music video for said track on their new label P-VINE’s YouTube channel. The music video is used as a bridge for fans who love the single and to increase hype for their upcoming album release CROSSING dropping June 19 . As previously reported, CROSSING is to feature eleven tracks through a CD-only standard edition.

Composed to the bass beat of Queen’s hit song “Another One Bites the Dust”, “Crossing” delivers ecke’s unique fusion twist which fans love, along with Nao’s stunning vocals, making the track whole. The music video, In stunning artistic fashion, blends the usage of light colors in such a way that it’s become an ongoing theme for ecke’s music video and is something to look forward to with every music video release.

Yuuma Meshida of KANA-BOON currently missing

Yuuma Meshida of KANA-BOON fame has gone missing. According to Meshida’s family, no one has been able to contact him since June 5. The family has filed a missing person’s report for Meshida.

The other members of KANA-BOON came out and made the following statement: "The possibility that he got into an accident or some kind of trouble keeps coming to mind. As bandmates and as friends, we are very worried. We pray for his safety."

KANA-BOON had a concert scheduled this weekend to celebrate five years together, but due to the unfortunate circumstances the concert was canceled. We here at Ongaku To You send out our thoughts and prayers for Meshida’s well-being and hope he’ll be found safe soon. We will keep you posted as we learn more details.

sumika surprises fans with release of two music videos!

On the same day as the official single release, four-member rock band sumika dropped the music videos for both “Equal” and “Traveling” on their official YouTube Channel. “Equal” embodies the theme of dreams and reality; the music video is played alongside footage of their latest concert. On the opposite end of the spectrum, “Traveling” features a more focused story between a couple and has Junnosuke taking a more vocals-heavy approach than in “Equal”.

As previously reported, “Equal/ Traveling” will drop with two editions: a CD-only standard edition and a two-disc CD limited edition. The second CD included in the limited edition will feature a live sound rip of their “Fanfare/ Syunkasyutou” release tour event which took place at Tokyo’s Zepp Tokyo back in November of last year.

Necry Talkie shows fans tease of latest track!

Indie Corner darling Necry Talkie not only revealed the CD jacket cover for their upcoming mini-album MEMORIES, but they released a live performance of the lead song for the mini-album “夕暮れ先生”  (“Yugure Sensei”) on their official YouTube channel.

Dropping July 24, MEMORIES will be the latest release by the band since their album ONE! back in December of last year and it will be released with a CD-only standard edition. As previously reported, lead guitarist Asahi remarked that the group experimented with several different sounds and styles for MEMORIES and hopes that fans are just as excited as they are. As with ONE!, MEMORIES’ cover will be illustrated by vocalist and rhythm guitarist Mossa.

The live performance footage of Yugure Sensei was taken back in March during Necry Talkie’s one-band live at Tokyo’s WWW live house. Give it a watch below.

Tokyo Performance Doll turns 5

Standard Edition

Female idol group Tokyo Performance Doll turned five years old June 11 and celebrated by releasing a brand new single the very next day. The brand new single, “Super Duper”, is being used as the commercial song for Yukata and Swimsuit 2019 at Youme Town Mall, which is located in Hiroshima.

“Super Duper” was released with a crazy nine editions. The standard edition will be CD-only while six of the limited editions will also be CD only, but these limited editions will each feature a unique member of the group on the cover; one for each member. The last two editions will include limited edition Type A, which will include a CD and Blu-ray, and limited edition Type B, which will include a CD and DVD.
