BiS shakes things up with new generation!

After the success of their single “Are you ready?”, popular anti-establishment idol group BiS formally announced the third generation of the group and stated that it will be debuting on the group’s upcoming album Brand-new idol Society August 14. The announcement of the third generation came as a surprise during their Tokyo My Navi BILTZ event this past week. The group stated that they had over 2,000 girls come to audition—and narrowed down to but five. Those who placed bore the lovely code names Ito Musenshity Bu, Chant Monkey, Neo Trees, Doggy, and Manako Chi Manako. The third generation hopes to impress their former generation members and help to elevate BiS even more.

Brand-new idol Society, which holds the same name as the group’s debut album back from 2011, is meant to be a fresh restart of sorts and will be released with thirteen tracks. Currently not much else is known about the album except that it will feature a CD-only standard edition. We shall update you guys when more news is available.

Aimyon smells the night air in new single

Popular artist Aimyon, who was just announced as Billboard Japan’s number one artist for the first half  2019, announced she will be releasing a brand new single July 24 which will be titled “真夏の夜の匂いがする” (“Manatsu no Yoru no Nioigasuru”). It is to be used for upcoming drama 「Heaven？ ご苦楽レストラン」 (Heaven? Gokuraku Restaurant) , which is about a French restaurant that opens up in the middle of a cemetery. Back in January Aimyon made an appearance on 「MUSIC☆HERO」alongside popular actress Satomi Ishihara, who is also one of the stars in the series. Aimyon has remarked that, ever since her appearance on 「MUSIC☆HERO」, she has looked forward to working with Ishihara  again.

“Manatsu no Yoru no Nioigasuru” is only featuring a standard release which will consist of a mere three tracks total. sumika hopes to pass on legacy with music video collection!

On the eve of the release of their upcoming single “Equal/ Traveling”, four-member rock band sumika announced a brand new music video collection titled Music Video Tree Vol.1 & Vol. 2 dropping July 31. sumika commented on the title, stating that “we want the content that we created to be treasured and handed down so that the next generations can enjoy our music.”

Music Video Tree Vol.1 & Vol. 2 will drop with a two-disc DVD edition and a single Blu-ray edition and will include hits like “Lovers”, “Chime”, and “Fiction” along with several interviews. Popular illustrator YUGO lent his talents by designing the wholesome cover for the collection.

Rei Yasuda shows us her dazzling side with new single!

​After the success of her latest single “blooming”, vocalist Rei Yasuda announced that she will be releasing a brand new double A-side single, “over and over / dazzling tomorrow”, July 17.

Yasuda commented on both tracks stating that “over and over” is a comforting song that, like a special someone, will be a song that deeply and emotionally touches you. She also mentioned that “dazzling tomorrow” will serve as the insert song for cosmetics PYUAN’s upcoming batch of commercials.

The single will drop with not only the double A-side tracks but the instrumental versions of tracks, making the total four tracks included. It will also drop with two different editions: a standard CD-only edition along with a CD + DVD limited edition. The DVD will include both music videos for “over and over” and “dazzling tomorrow”. Aimer lights the torch

Following the success of her previous single, artist Aimer announced that she will be releasing a brand new single titled “Torch” which will be dropped August 14. “Torch” is being used for the upcoming historical anime Vinland Saga which is set in early eleventh century England.

“Torch” is being released in three editions. The standard edition will be CD-only while the limited pressing edition will come with a CD and DVD, and the limited edition will also be released with a CD and DVD along with including special packaging featuring Vinland Saga.
