Three-member hip-hop/R&B group m-flo dropped the music video for their recently released track “STRSTRK” on their official YouTube channel.

“STRSTRK”, which is currently available on all music streaming sites, will be the latest track dropped by the group since “Piece of me” back in October of last year. The music video, which borrowed the style of the Max Headroom signal tracking (which took place during the 1980’s), features the group being visually distorted with signal interference in a style that’s very unique to them. At the end of the music video m-flo cryptically teased a simple image titled “m-flo 3.0”, giving weight that m-flo isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

May'n is looking to celebrate her anniversary in a big way!

Vocalist May’n announced that she’ll be dropping both her brand new single “牙と翼” (“Kiba to Tsubasa”) and her experimental mini-album YELL!! July 31, making this a double-trouble release. 

“Kiba to Tsubasa” is set to be the ending theme for the upcoming TOKYO MX  Samurai anime 胡蝶綺 ～若き信長～ (Kocho Ayaginu ~Wakaki Nobunaga~) airing in July. The single will be released with three tracks total and will be written and composed by Dan Miyakawa and Tomoya Kawasaki respectively, with Junichi Sato helping with the arrangement.

YELL!! ,which will be used to celebrate May’n’s tenth year in the music industry, will have seven tracks. As previously reported, May’n will not be alone in conceptualizing her mini-album YELL!! by not only having LiSA come in and help out but famed vocalist Ai Otsuka also contributing.

Miliyah Kato goes back to her roots with monumental single!

Popular vocalist Miliyah Kato announced that she will be dropping a brand new single titled “愛が降る” (Ai ga Furu”) June 19. “Ai ga Furu” will the latest release by Kato since the announcement of her marriage and pregnancy this past April. The single will drop with three tracks, one being a remix of her popular song “最高なしあわせ” (“Saikona Shiawase”), originally released back in 2017. This single serves to commemorate Kato’s fifteen years in the music industry. Dubbed Kato’s “part one” of her anniversary series, “Ai ga Furu” is a powerful ballad song which Kato dropped a small teaser for on her official YouTube channel. 

“Ai ga Furu” will be released with two editions: a standard CD-only edition and a CD + DVD limited edition. Included on the DVD will be Kato’s “Uta no Kai” live event which took place at Billboard Live TOKYO this past December (she performed six tracks during the show).

Wanima sets trap for summer

Punk rock band Wanima announced their latest single “Summer Trap!!” which will be released July 17. “Summer Trap!!” will feature “夏のどこかへ” (“Natsu no doko kahe”) which was used in a commercial for Mitsuya Cider. Along with “夏のどこかへ” there will be three new additional songs on the single. Just like with “Good Job”, Wanima’s last single, there will be an initial production of single color cases, but this time the cases will be "Matsuken Yellow". Also, there will be limited edition stickers that come with “Summer Trap!!” if you pick up your copy at select stores.

Currently, only a standard edition has been officially announced. It will be CD-only and available for pre-order here.

SIRUP's new music video Feels Good

Music corner alumnus SIRUP released a brand new music video ahead of his new album Feel Good. It is titled “Evergreen” and a bit more of an upbeat song compared to his usual laid-back feel. The whole music video for “Evergreen” takes place in a dance hall wherein viewers can watch SIRUP lightly dancing to the song and singing.

Due out May 29, Feel Good is important because it will be SIRUP’s first full album. It will be available only in a single CD-only edition and will consist of twelve tracks, including his super chill song “LOOP”.
