WEBER has deceptive new album

Four-member idol group WEBER announced the release of their very first major album titled deception which will be released June 26. Several songs on the album will be previously released singles such as “オオカミの涙” (Ōkaminonamida), “-BALLON-”, and their latest single “READY”, just to name a few. Also on the album will be several new songs such as title track “deception”.

deception will be released in three editions. There will be a standard edition, a special edition, and a limited edition. The standard edition will be CD-only while the special edition will feature both a CD and DVD; the DVD will include footage of a special concert held February 2019 titled “Masquerade Bitter Night Vol.6”. The limited edition will also feature both a CD and DVD which will feature bonus footage. Morning Musume feels the blues in new single!

Long-running female idol group Morning Musume announced they will be releasing their sixty-seventh single titled “Jinsei Blues / Seishun Night” which is due out July 12.

“Jinsei Blues / Seishun Night” is set to be released in a stunning five editions. There will be a Type A standard edition along with a Type B standard edition, which will be CD only. For the limited editions there is going to be a total of three editions: a Type A limited edition, Type B limited edition, and SP limited edition. The Type A limited will come with a DVD which features the music video for “Jinsei Blues” while the Type B limited will come with a DVD which features the music video for “Seishun Night”. The SP limited will also come with a DVD which features the dance shot version for both songs and, along with the DVD, it will include an event ticket which is only valid in Japan. Love is in the air with Mone Kamishiraishi!

Actress-singer Mone Kamishiraishi announced that, for the first time in two years, she will be dropping a brand new mini album July 10 titled i. From thoughtful love to unrequited love, i is a story about the various different kinds of love a person can experience.

Mone Kamishiraishi has had a career as an actor since 2011. For most people outside of Japan Kamishiraishi’s most notable role is voicing the main character Mitsuha Miyamizu in global phenomenon film Your Name. Kamishiraishi’s music career, on the other hand, started in 2014 with the release of her first single "Maiko wa Lady". In 2016 she released her first mini-album titled chouchou. i will be Kamishiraishi’s second album.

EXILE's TETSUYA taking break

Major male-idol group EXILE announced that their member TETSUYA will be taking a break from performing with the group. TETSUYA, who has a dislocated kneecap, has been dealing with this problem for two years now. He has received partial treatment for his knee but still suffers from frequent pain; he has managed to continue to work through the pain, but now he has decided to undergo full treatment. With full treatment it will take TETSUYA several months to completely recover, and obviously he will need to limit his activities and stay away from anything physically demanding. However, TETSUYA is hoping to be back on stage by "LDH PERFECT YEAR 2020" next year. We here at Ongaku To You wish him a speedy recovery.

Necry Talkie hopes to make new MEMORIES with new mini-album!

Popular five-member Indie Corner band Necry Talkie announced that they will releasing a brand new mini-album, MEMORIES, July 24. Dubbed the group’s self-cover mini-album, MEMORIES will be the latest release by the band since their very successful first album ONE! from December of last year.

Lead guitarist Asahi remarked that the group experimented with several different sounds and styles for this album and hopes that fans are just as excited as they are. The album will release with eight tracks total and, keeping to Asahi’s word, will encompass several different styles. There will be more upbeat tunes such as “ジャックポットなら踊らにゃソンソン” ( “Jackpot Nara Odoranya Sonson”) and there will be ones in which they mixed vocaloid style with their songs, such as with “ゆるふわ樹海ガール” (“Yurufuwa Jukai Girl”). MEMORIES is looking to be an album that will stand out from the rest.
