“BanG Dream!” Announces Their Release Plans Throughout The Summer!

Bushiroad’s multimedia project “BanG Dream!” announced during their @Hello, Happy CiRCLE Broadcaster YouTube show that they will have a collaboration event with popular game series Persona starting this summer. This will only be held for the Japan servers of their game BanG Dream! Girls Band Party. With this collaboration the game will feature a cover of a song from each game of the series (Persona 3,  Persona 4, and  Persona 5).

Pastel✽Palettes (one of the bands in BanG Dream!) will be having their third single ,"もういちどルミネス" ("Mou Ichido Luminous"), set for release on August 8th.

All of the main vocalists for the bands in BanG Dream! Girls Band Party came together for a brand new single, “ピコットパピットガルパピコ!" (”Pikotto Papitto Garupa Piko!”), which is scheduled for release on August 22nd. “Pikotto Papitto Garupa Piko!” will be the opening theme for Girls Band Party Pico, an anime that will air on July 5th.

SKE48 Shows Off A Sexy Fiery Dance For Their New Single!

Mega idol group AKB48’s sister group SKE48 just released the music video for their newest single “いきなりパンチライン“ ("Ikinari Punchline"), set for release on July 4th. “Ikinari Punchline” shows the girls--sporting very flashy red outfits--in front of a crowd. The song has a very festive dance feel to it which makes it very appealing. The center for this single is recent Senbatsu winner Jurina Matsui.

TWICE Announces First Japanese Album!

Nine-member Korean group TWICE announced today their first Japanese album, BDZ, its release date set for September 12th. Its title was chosen to be shorthand for "bulldozer". TWICE explains that they must “bulldoze any big obstacle that stands in the way to keep moving forward.”

BDZ will include the singles “One More Time”, “Candy Pop”, and “Wake Me Up”. Also included will be their cover of The Jackson 5’s “I WANT YOU BACK”.

Kana Nishino’s Latest Song Used As “3D Girlfriend” Theme Song!

Singer Kana Nishino announced today on her Twitter that her newest love song “Bedtime Story”, being released on September 12th, will be used as the theme song for the movie 3D彼女　リアルガール (3D Girlfriend Real Girl), which will be released on September 14th. 3D Girlfriend stars Yuto Sano and Yumi Nakajyo. Sano portrays an otaku with Nakajyo as his love interest.

“You feel for the guy's (Sano's) awkwardness toward the heroine (Nakajyo) and all of the situations that they are thrown together in," Nishino stated. "I wanted to convey the earnestness that they both feel for each other through this love song." Nishino titled the song “Bedtime Story”, because 3D Girlfriend’s love story seems like the type of stories you would hear before bedtime.

NMB48 Announces Music Video Box Set!

Mega idol group AKB48’s sister group NMB48 announced today a brand new music set, “NMB48 ALL CLIPS -黒髪から欲望まで”- (“Kuro Kami kara Yokubou made”), set for release on August 8th. This five-disc set will include all of NMB48’s music videos from debut single “絶滅黒髪少女 ("Zetsumetsu Kuro Kami Shoujo”, July 2011)" to their most recent single “欲望者 (“Yokubou Mono”)". It will also include all the team, sub-group, and dance versions of all of their songs, rounding out to a massive 112-song list.
