Kenshi Yonezu’s "Lemon" dominates the Digital Single Charts!

Kenshi Yonezu’s "Lemon" was announced to have taken the Oricon Digital Singles' number one spot again. This marks the 8th consecutive week it has done so, beating the likes of even Exile's "My Star". The Oricon Digital Charts are a little different from the regular single charts. Digital Charts only count a single song compared to selling the whole single as it does for the regular charts. Including the download sales from the previous week, "Lemon" brings in a grand total of 878,585 copies.

HKT48’s Mao Yamamoto announces her graduation.

First generation HKT48 member Mao Yamamoto announced on April 11th during a profomance that she would be graduating from HKT48. She had stated her reason why is to have a change of environment and to challenge herself by studying abroad. It was announced on HKT48’s official ameba blog, that her graduation ceremony will be on May 21th.  Mao has been with the group since 2013 and we wish her the best in her future endeavors. 

Airi Suzuki's first solo album brings in SCANDAL!

Former ℃-ute and Buono! member Airi Suzuki has officially announced her first solo album called Do me a favor which will be released on June 6th. This album will feature both a regular edition and a Blu-ray limited edition. This marks Suzuki's first album since graduating from Hello! Project. Being featured on the album as a special collaboration are groups  SCANDAL and 赤い公園 (Akai Kouen). On her official Youtube page, she had released two different trailers introducing the different styles that she used in the album. Check them both out below!

Shonen Jump first music festival artists has been revealed!

The popular comic company Shonen Jump announced that they will be having a music festival based on all of their series called JUMP MUSIC FESTA. They announced yesterday the first set of artist that will be participating in the festival: KANA-BOON, 氣志團 (KISHIDAN), BiSH, and Little Glee Monster. All four artist have sung opening and ending theme songs for various Shonen Jump anime. We can't wait for the announcement of more artists!

For those who are interested in going, it will be on July 7th and 8th at the amazing Yokohama Arena in Kanagawa, Japan.

Release date for SHISHAMO's new album has been revealed!

Three-member band SHISHAMO has finally announced their new album SHISHAMO 5. Releasing on June 20th SHISHAMO 5 will be available as both a standard and special box set. Its box set will include the CD itself along with a pouch and a t-shirt.  You can pre-order both editions now at cdjapan.
